I installed the 2 meters antenna that my father intended to use since he moved to Centerville 24 years ago. I stood at the bottom of the ladder as he removed it from the roof of our previous home in Clearfield. He planned to install it at the new house, but amateur radio lost priority to public safety radio and the antenna went into storage, not moving from where he placed it more than two decades ago. Being in the amateur community is like communing with my 30 year old father. Perhaps that old antenna has more gain than it's rated for.
