Interstate Sleigh Ride

Well the weather outside is frightful, but it'll definately be a white Christmas. The scene outside is serene almost errily so as I browse webcams of local weather at popular crossroads. There's really no one on the roads at 2am on a Monday morning so it's easy to see the snow piling up. I think that's why it's so bizzare, no cars on the traffic cam's. They made some rather pretty pictures of the nightime freeze though.

The top photo is the exit I use getting to school at Ogden/Hinkley Airport (OGD) the second is the ramp in my hometown. I'm hoping the traffic won't be as big a killer as I'm afriad it will be tomorrow and I hope the visibility stays good so my wife's flights will get out of SLC tomorrow and so the flights will continue up at school as well. Even with the possiblity of impending doom during the commute, there is that peaceful calm that comes from taking in the blanket of white and feeling the chill on your cheeks that makes Christmas seem to float in the air. I swear I can almost hear carolers in the distance. That is, untill the first semi jacknifes and slides into a school bus cloging up the interstae for hours.
