An aviation vacation?

This trip to Long Beach has been a bit of an aviation vacation. We ended up flying to Burbank (BUR) instead of LAX and thus got to see a uniqe little airport in the San Fernando Valley (top photos). Then, being in Long Beach, we checked out LGB and were suprised to find this retro jewel of Aviaiton. The terminal at LGB really hasn't changed since Donald Douglas started building planes here some 70 years ago. Today, jetBlue serves LGB as a focus city and we saw a couple of thier A310's. In fact, business and traffic is integrated so close to the airport here that we got a great view of one of the jetBlue planes taking off from the parking lot of the Marriott Hotel.
